Introducing the Mystical Ascending Sorrowful Chords for the Doctrinal Development Scale

Remember that the descending joy scale was the sacraments.

The scale is joyful because receiving the sacraments is wonderful joy for the soul.

This is self-evident.

But physically it is a descending scale because as one grows older and older they become more and more frail towards death , so that then by common Sense, the last two notes in the sequence are anointing of the sick and death.

Here it was for reference before we begin so as to avoid confusion.

1. Natural birth

2. Baptism, or supernatural birth

3. Confession

4. Eucharist

5. Confirmation

6. Marriage

7. Holy orders

8. Anointing of the sick

9. Natural death

Several things to note.

One is the base note of the key, and remember that for illustrative purposes, we used the key of c on a piano since all of the pure notes of the key are the white keys and all the flats are the black keys, which are interspersed at various points between the whites.

Hence above, number 1, or natural birth, is c ; number 2, or baptism, is b,

and so forth, down to 8 as anointing of the sick, or c the lower octave. And then nine, or natural death, as the lower octave b.

Note also that the reason there are nine steps and not merely seven is that the sacraments in the life of the man also include the poles of life which is to say,

The person must first exist in birth and then die after the reception of the final sacrament in the steps of his life.

Hence 7 sacraments + 2 natural events equals 9

The minimal taste of heaven, natural birth and supernatural birth or baptism

Secondly, we remember that in order to get a taste of heaven, all we need is initial sanctifying grace. The first time we get sanctifying grace normally in the Catholic faith is through baptism.

What I argued is that if we would take the minimal note or notes necessary to get sanctifying grace and if we took the most simplest but complete chords founded on those notes, and only those notes, we would effectively get all principles or marks that will be in heaven and only those things in heaven, such that therefore whatever notes are left will never be in heaven neither in principle nor Mark.

Well that actually turned out that, yes, baptism is the only thing necessary to get sanctifying grace in terms of sacraments.

But the funny thing was the first note in the scale was not baptism but your natural birth.

And this makes perfect sense because if you do not exist , how can you get baptism?

Therefore you must first have natural birth and then supernatural birth in order to have a taste of heaven.

So the full number of chords to get all of Heaven and only of heaven in its principles would be the full complete but most basic chords of these two first notes, that is notes 1 and 2 in descending joy.

For reference on the piano, this would be, with our simplest analogy in the key of c, the notes c and the b below it.

In terms of numerics, we know that if one is ascending joy, the most basic and complete chord for the base key of the scale would be 135, where 1 is the base note of the key, 3 is the major note which gives it its happiness emotion, and 5 is the fifth, which is the simplest note in the key because it is the first note that occurs in harmonic derivation of natural music and it is emotionally neutral.

This is why almost all punk rock has two fingered chords. They are called like c5, g5, etc. They are brain dead chords because they just have the base note and then the simplest non-emotional, non-complex note to go with it.

This would be the simplest chord in in our cases but we still need the primary emotion note so that we know whether it is happy or sad, or major or minor.

Hence again, for the key , assuming 1 is the base note of the key , and we are ascending, the core simple complete chord is 1-major or effectively 135.

However ,when you are descending joy, these points in the chords do not occur at steps 135 but 4 and 6.

Hence 146. And in this case then, 4 is actually the 5th , and 6 is actually the 3rd.

And since this is the chord for the first step, it is the natural birth chord.

The next step is then for 2, which is the baptismal chord.

Reality is, you just take the same structure and scoot it down one step to get the diminished, which would then be 257.

For those more familiar with simple music,

the diminished chord is the chord that breaks the gap between the primary major and the primary minor chord when you descend…

So what sacraments are these to make the ultimate point?

Well from the order above and list, 146 is natural birth , eucharist, and marriage.

We forgot to mention that this order is correct according to the Roman Rite simply because if God had a preference between the Roman Rite and Eastern Catholic rites in terms of how they exercise initiation, God would simply give partiality to Peter’s version since Peter is the ultimate ruler of the church—the special one, just like Jacob had an affinity for Joseph and his special colored coat, etc.

And hence also if one is to go through the sacraments through life in their proper order and to receive all of them in our example, they would have to be effectively either a married deacon or a married priest in the Roman Rite.

For a deacon, he would have to first be married and then be given holy orders because the church will never give marriage to someone who already has holy orders.

Similarly, a married priest in the Roman Rite would probably be a Protestant minister convert who would already be married and then receive holy orders.

Either way , marriage must precede holy orders and so the order above is correct.

So, again, the natural birth cord is 146, or natural birth, eucharist, and marriage.

Consequently, moving on to the baptism chord, 257 is baptism.

2 is baptism, 5 is confirmation, and 7 is holy orders.

Long story short, an astounding association exists in the chords. The first three sacraments do not leave any indelible mark on the soul but their principles exist at least figuratively in heaven. Let us look at this.

Firstly, in our natural birth , we will live forever and will even engage in natural activities according to what we have seen from near death experiences, where people go various places to even learn or do things that they would learn on earth.

As for the eucharist, admittedly, there is no longer the need to be fed spiritually to make it to heaven, since we are already in heaven, but eucharist is also about communion, and we will commune at the wedding feast of the Lamb. This feast on the love and mystery that Christ has given us forever and ever in the eternal Sabbath will fulfill the new earthly Sabbath we celebrate on every Sunday with Mass.

Finally there is no literal marriage in heaven, of course—per the Christ, who indicated that in the resurrection, we will no longer have sex; we will be like the angels, but we will have a marital relationship with Christ in the sense that he shall penetrate our inner beings with ever newer truth and grace which will leave us never bored! We will receive it into our inner being, just as a woman receives a man into her , conceive and relish it in joy, and give it back to Christ in unending ecstasy and exchange of love forever and ever.

The other chord 257, on the other hand, has this : the activities will not exist anymore whether in principle or literal activity, but they leave an indelible mark that will never be lost.

Why?

Well first look at baptism. Baptism like the other two, leaves an indelible mark, here, as a child of God entering the community of the church.

But the essential disposition of baptism is faith and repentance , so that we may ultimately attain heaven.

But once we are in heaven, we do not need to worry about that, and secondly, we no longer have faith because we see what we merely believed in and could not see.

Moreover, clearly there is no need to repent and pursue virtue because we will have reached the perfection of virtue and will never be able to lose our salvation.

Moving on, confirmation is also that it gives an indelible mark, the gifts of the spirit as a mature member of the church, but its activity is no longer needed because the purpose of confirmation is to give one the grace and gifts of the Holy Spirit to persevere in love, so as to attain heaven as a mature person.

But these gifts are no longer necessary to assist us to get to heaven because we are already in heaven, never able to lose it again and never needing to be strengthened to avoid losing salvation.

Finally, the last note in the baptismal chord is holy orders, which again gives us an indelible mark which even wouldn't be erased if the soul were not saved.

But the priesthood is no longer needed in any conceivable sense because there are two primary purposes for the priesthood and the episcopate.

The first purpose of the episcopate on earth is to preserve the truth for the infallible dissemination of the teachings of the church in order that the faithful may not be carried away by the errors of the devil.

But in heaven, we are now face-to-face with God himself, who is the ultimate non-mediated revealer, who shows all things and is all things, and therefore there is no earthly mediator necessary to tell us what to believe.

Secondly the priesthood exists to mediate the graces of the sacraments, but there are no more sacraments in heaven because one has attained salvation and therefore no longer needs them to assist in the fight to attain eternal life.

This turned out to be amazing, and the question now is, is there a similar analogy existing in the ascending sorrow scale for the doctrinal ages?

INTRODUCING THE MYSTICAL ASCENDING SORROWFUL CHORDS FOR THE DOCTRINAL DEVELOPMENT SCALE

It works !! And now that we have gone through the descending joy, it will be easier to describe what we are doing with the ascending sorrow.

Now to recall, this scale was ascending sorrow because the church is growing in truth and mystery. But it is sorrowful because the world is persistently rejecting her teaching.

Here, there are 8 steps.

Eight doctrinal development steps culminating with a darkness of apostasy.

Here they are for reference.

1. The darkness of pagan Rome

2. The trinitarian and incarnational heresies in part

3. Islam, the supreme anti- trinitarian and incarnational heresy

4. The great schism

5. The great moral fall of the hierarchy

6. The Protestant rebellion

7. The great supernatural death of the world in solo-ratio, EG enlightenment, French revolution, masonry, and countless worldly philosophies, sciences, and psychologies, etc, which intend to explain the meaning of life apart from religion using only reason.

8. The secular apostasy of the 20th century unto now.

We remember that to explain the nature of this ascension of sorrow, it is that the dragon is assaulting what could be called the five great sources of Catholic truth from top to bottom , so that when he finally reaches the bottom, or reason, there is nothing left to attack and we have the complete darkness of apostasy of our modern day.

The five great sources of Catholic truth were these:

1. The Trinity and the Incarnation mystery

2. The supreme apostolic successor, or the Pope

3. The general apostolic successors, or the bishops, and the sacred tradition, or the oral word of God

4. The scriptures, or the written word of God

5. Reason, or the natural philosophy of the human mind unaided by revelation

Now one needs to ask if there are only five primary sources of truth why are there eight steps above and not five?

Well, in previous reviews, we saw that sometimes a source is attacked in two steps rather than just one, as in , first in part, and then in full.

This happened to be the case for 2 such sources, namely God as Trinity and incarnation, and then the bishops and sacred tradition.

In the first case, the first great set of heresies when the church was released from persecution by Constantine until Islam non-inclusive, were mostly against the Trinity and or the incarnation in one form or another, as in Arianism, nestorianism, monophysitism, monothelite heresy, tritheism, and so forth.

All of these were only partial attacks on the Trinity and the Incarnation because they always still left some sense of the trinity of God or at least some sense of the incarnation, except arianism, which at first glance seems to be the worst since it denies that there really is a Trinity and that Christ was really fully God.

However, arianism is not the worst assault against the triune and incarnate God because Islam not only fully denied these realities but went on to suggest a super-Christological revelation, namely, Muhammad and the Quran.

This was worse than Arianism, since at least with Arianism , it did not go on to say that there was revelation beyond Christ, which is effectively one of the final Christological dogmas, which states that there is no new revelation beyond Christ; all public revelation ceased with the death of the last apostle.

In the other case , that is, of the bishops and the sacred tradition, the attacking in part was to make them look bad or in fact make them largely bad through moral corruption.

The attack in full then was the Protestant rebellion, which completely rejected their authority and retained only scripture in a corrupted sense!

Everything else has a simple attack in full: attacking Peter in full with the great schism.

Attacking the sacred scriptures in full with the supernatural death of the world: enlightenment etc.

Finally , attacking reason, in the apostate world in which we live.

With these things in mind then, we can assemble the eight steps , instead of five, as follows:

· 3 great sources of truth attacked in 1 step

· 2 great sources attacked in 2 steps ( in part then in full)

· The darkness of pagan Rome which precedes the process, 1

This makes 3*1 + 2*2 + 1 =

3 + 4 + 1 = 8

Here we ask, Why does pagan rome precede the process?

The answer is similar to what occurred in the sacramental scale. There we found that one cannot have supernatural birth until one is first born naturally, and so there was a precursor before the real steps began.

In a similar vein, since the purpose of the scale in one sense is to ascend the mysteries and therefore to bring the truths of Christ, his light, to a darkened and fallen world, there must first be darkness to exist before the light can pierce it ; else the process would presumably have something that is behind it that is already light, hence nullifying that our scale starts with the first light.

Therefore the primary darkness must proceed the process in order for illumination to begin.

And that is pagan Rome, of course.

Now , then , there is the question of forming these chords that we did out of the sacramental scale in similarity.

Well obviously they would be the primary first two chords of the first two notes of our steps if we are to assume a similarity. Actually this will be the case, but now we have to ask, what are we trying to attain in these base chords?

Well, in the sacramental scale, we were attempting to get a taste of heaven, or sanctifying grace.

For the ascending sorrowful scale of doctrinal development, I suggest a common sense solution.

What the devil is trying to do is to destroy the faith of the world by progressively breaking it down.

In previous writings, I have argued that the primary means of destroying the faith in the world is to divide up the Christians , since Jesus implied that if his disciples are not one, the world will not be able to believe.

Toward that end , this can also mean for the world to reject the messengers of Christ, who are the magisterium.

In other words, Jesus has implied that the division of Christians and the scandal of its messengers is the source of the loss of faith in the world.

This introduces two dimensions.

One is introducing false messengers or attacking legitimate messengers through scandal, and the other is to divide up the disciples.

Incidentally then, it implies that two chords, most likely at the beginning like the other scale, should encompass all that is or will be Christian division in those ages.

And it works.

The first scale has to do with messengers, bad messengers , or bad messages from them.

The other chord has to do with the divided disciples.

In the first case, the amount of truth that comes from the messengers gets better, but the scandal that they give gets worse.

In the second case, the nature of the division of the Christians becomes progressively worse, and its scandal becomes worse, but the evidence for the sources of truth that they confound gets better.

So , a very cool correlation exists like the sacramental scale.

The scale is this, from common sense of church history. Note, the 1. Is the primary minor note—in our piano case, a(m) since the key of c is all the white keys and the flats are all the blacks exclusively—and the flats are the quote on quote notes of discord, or the sources of truth in Catholicism that the divisions contest, or, that is, that form the DISCORD BETWEEN THE CHURCH AND THE ONES WHO ASSAULT HER IN THIS REGARD.

Now for the list

1. Pagan rome, false messenger Caesar blasphemy , totally bad message, least scandal

2. Divided disciples, Trinity and Incarnation confounded in part, least divisive (mostly gone today)

3. Bad Messenger muhammed islam, partly true message, partly bad messenger, Trinity and incarnation assaulted in full, partial scandal

4. Divided disciples, great schism, Peter attacked in full, more divisive, still extant

5. Worse messengers, bishops and trad in part, totally true message, but greatest scandal in their morality (should be holiest but are complete scoundrels)

6. Worst division of disciples, protestantism, assault bishops and tradition in full, worst christian scandal, total confusion

Notes left out are not Christian division but are the result thereof, namely, two great phases of loss of belief:

7. Solo-ratio : rejection of all supernatural religion, acceptance of only natural goodness eg so called enlightenment, french revolution, masons, countless philosophies, ideologies and such meant to try to solve human issues using only reason and worldly efforts.

8. Anti-ratio, minor apostasy, back to pagan rome, pseudo, blasphemous anti-religion and brute materialism, the octave of pagan rome.

Ok now more

The notes fit perfectly.

The chord for the primary minor is 135 by the law of natural music.

Above, this is Caesar, Muhammad, and bishops.

Caesar has the worst message, a blasphemous assertion that he is God Almighty. But this is the least scandalous because he is a narcissistic scoundrel anyway.

Muhammad’s message is better, partly true, since islam has many judaeo -Christian elements. But it is also partly false because it does not come God, and also the Quran is not from God since it is in error in many terrible ways.

Muhammad is also partly scandalous because even though he prays and does most commandments, he kills in name of God, is a pedophile, and suppresses women.

Finally, the bishops’ message is entirely pure, since the magisterium teaches Jesus’ truths infallibly.

But here, the scandal is the worst because whereas we would expect them to be completely holy—seeing as their message is totally pure—they are completely wicked, at least most of them.

The divisions are similar. Note first, the chord for 2 in natural music is 2 minor diminished, which is 246, or in our list

2. Trinity and incarnation in part, pre- islam heresies

4. Supreme apostolic successor in full, Great schism

6 General apostolic succession and trad attacked in full, Protestant rebellion

Now, see how the forms and gradation of severity in division worsens.

The Trinity and incarnation heresies are largely gone now, swallowed up in the past. The great councils of the first millennium resolved them.

The great schism is worse. Its nature is minor in degree, mainly contesting Peter, but it is great in scope. The empire split in two over vast geography.

The final division is catastrophic!! The heretical rebellion has unleashed a hurricane of error and confusion!!

These divisions of disciples, bad messengers, and conflicting opinions bring grave scandal to Christianity, the Gospel, and religion in general.

All of these things and ONLY these things undo the Faith, since all of these things and only these things are spiritual confusion, division, and scandal in both disciples and messengers, both true and untrue, both good and bad, and everything in between.

Everything else is outside of this, loss of faith.

Therefore, astoundingly, the first two foundational chords contain all, and only all, Christian scandal to undo the Gospel and all so-called revealed religion, just as the first two chords contained all that would be in heaven in some sense and no more.

The octaves

A final note.

A little insight for the ironic scales of Catholic analogy

Wanted to talk about the octaves of these ironic scales real quick .

Sort of an interesting insight.

Just a recap, the ascending sorrow scale is the ages of the doctrinal development of the church. It ascends because the church is growing in her understanding of the mystical truths of the faith. But it is sorrowful because, at each phase of development, a substantial portion of the world rejects her beloved mysteries, which grieves the heart of God and the church.

On the other hand, the other ironic scale is descending joy, which is the sacraments. Here, the scale is joyful because receiving the sacraments is a source of joy, the reception of sanctifying grace, which is a true participation in God’s divine life and love. The scale , however , descends because it is , as it were , a manifestation of what is taking place physically in the life of the person who receives the sacraments in the proper order according to Peter. That is, the day we are born, we are beginning to die, descending towards the frailty of sickness and death.

Here are the steps of the ascending sorrowful scale of the doctrinal ages:

1. Pagan Rome

2. Trinity and incarnation in part

3. Trinity and incarnation in full, Islam

4. Great schism

5. Sacred tradition and apostolic succession in part , great moral fall of hierarchy

6. Sacred tradition and apostolic succession in full, Great heretical rebellion, protestantism

7. The great supernatural death of the world: enlightenment, deism, rationalism, French revolution, Masons , countless worldly philosophies, science, psychology, and so forth… Humanity trying to find the meaning of life without supernatural Revelation and Grace and merely by reason and stoic efforts.

8. The minor apostasy, pagan rome returns in type, godlessness, no reason, no natural law, atheism, relativism, hedonism

Here, the octave is formed between one and eight. The Crux is this, it really works in terms of the spiritual nature.

The scale begins with complete darkness and ends with complete darkness.

Remember that complete darkness in my theology consists of the total negation of the good reasons that we exist.

The first reason we exist is to know and to love God in this world.

The second reason we exist is effectively to know and to love God in the next life forever, and this will be like a eternal spiritual marriage, seeing as the representation of heavenly kingdom is the wedding feast of the Lamb. Here, the Christ will proceed outward his infinite mysteries and love within our being, we shall fully receive it into our inner souls, conceive it and digest it, and then offer it back to him in unending ecstasy.

Of course , when we look at this world, in the first principle, that is, knowing and loving God , this really means faith and repentance, or the baptismal disposition.

This is because knowing God is really involving having faith in the truths of God, and loving God is effectively avoiding sin, which in turn is having repentance.

And behold, faith and repentance are the intrinsic principles of baptism that extend throughout our lives continuously, and which we especially renew every Easter.

And again , when we look at the heavenly bliss that we strive to attain in the next world, which, again, is the second great reason we exist, we see that this is a spiritual marriage.

So the baptismal disposition is the first great reason we exist in this world.

And the great spiritual marriage is the second great principle that we hope to attain in the next world.

The total darkness of the dragon then, which is to say the complete lies of the fall, would be to deny that these reasons have any efficacy, to sav that they are lies, and in their place , to offer a total counterfeits as the supposed true fulfillment of the human person and society.

Here, it is clear that the antithesis of the baptismal disposition is no faith and no repentance. No faith is clearly the denial of everything that can be known in religion, which would mainly be atheism, or it means total indifference to the concern for religion and, that could involve relativism or lack of concern for any religious pursuits.

And, the negation of repentance is simply to tell oneself that one has no moral culpability, even in front of the natural law, so that effectively, one is saying that they can do whatever they want without regard to any objective moral law, and that I will avoid any consequences for their actions.

And now, as far as the second lie would be, it would negate that one should pursue the wonderful spiritual marriage in the next life with God, and to replace it with a superficial, physical, figurative fornication with the creation rather than the Creator. This figurative fornication is a cheapening relationship between humanity and the physical world, otherwise known as materialism. This is the situation where either an individual human person, or a collection of persons, or society, lives only for this world and its brute goods, instead of seeking the wonderful spiritual goods of God, his mysteries, his truth and his love.

Now we can return to the octaves of the ascending scale of sorrow, or the doctrinal ages.

Age 1 is pagan Rome which clearly fits this to the t. For, paganism is the antithesis of the gospel, since it denies even monotheism and believes in multiple gods, who are predictably bearing the image of a fallen humanity, themselves in constant struggle according to various vices and arrogance.

Similarly, such an empire lives only for the things of this world mainly, which is to say it’s material wonders and progress—such as the great amphitheaters, the temples, the games, and it’s materialistic feats like bridges, viaducts , roads , and the like. Moreover, the pagans effectively live the antithesis of the natural law through all of its primary violations. They violate the first law through their idol worship and false gods. Caesar disrespects the authority of God by elevating himself above God as though he were the father almighty.

All manner of the commandment thou shalt not commit murder is violated, through the destruction of the body in gluttony, destroying life through abortion, infanticide, the brutal games that put people to death for entertainment, and it’s unfathomably harsh punishment of crucifixion for criminals.

Human sexuality is violated on all fronts. Promiscuity, fornication, orgies, sexual potions to sterilize their activity, homosexuality transgender and so forth.

The government manifests corruption through purchasing one’s power and bribing out of the consequences of ones injustice toward the ones they govern.

The list continues on and on.

Similarly, in the octave , we come back to today. Today, in the minor apostasy, which is a godless age, the principles are similar effectively.

We do not have literal paganism, obviously because of the knowledge of science, however we have a pseudo paganism, in which human beings make idols and gods of the signs and wonders and pleasures of modern life. There is either complete denial of all religion in the sense of atheism, in a great portion of the European civilizations and their derivatives, or else an indifference to the pursuit of religious truth and shirking morals, which primarily manifests itself in relativism.

Hence faith and repentance are pretty much totally violated. And materialism reigns in our society as has been testified by St John Paul II in the general wisdom of the church.

Consequently, the world has come full circle from the darkness of pagan Rome back to the darkness of the fall in our modern society.

Therefore, there is an octave of the darknesses. All of the phases between these at least possess some light , as one can examine but which will be not treated here because it is obvious.

Finally, then, we can look at the other ironic scale , which is the sacraments. This, again, is the descending joy. Toward that end, let us represent the scale so we are knowing what we deal with.

1. Natural birth

2. Supernatural birth, baptism

3. Confession

4. Eucharist

5. Confirmation

6. Marriage

7. Holy orders

8. Anointing of the sick

9. Natural death or Heaven

This is much easier to explain; it will be brief.

The octave is one and eight.

From the scale above we see that 1 is natural birth and 8 is anointing of the sick.

We also know that there is one final note below the octave which is nine, natural death.

The solution to the octave is immediate when we look at what we have seen before, which is heaven.

Here, we note that natural birth is the step directly preceding baptism, which is our first foretaste of heaven, our first reception of the supernatural life of God in THIS world.

The octave of this, then, again , is anointing of the sick. And low and behold, this step is directly behind natural death, which leads to, if the person is a saint, actual heaven, which is the supernatural Life of God of the NEXT world, which will last forever.

So there you have it, the octaves amazingly work out for the ironic scales, just as the octaves in the consistent scales of the greater ages also worked out theologically.
